It was a genuine guess. When I was younger, The Guttata was a good early June hatch on the Musky. My first thought was; that it may be Dipterum.. The tail configuration is incorrect. I still think it is some sub species of Para

Your first thought was a dipterum? They aren't found in the US...you must be googling. It isn't a paralep.......promise.

Not googling. Have other references to identify insects.

    Grobert,

Tomfly has a wealth of incorrect information rattling around in his head. He doesn't need to use google to be wrong.

Lacey: Where'd you get that pistol?

Moosekid I get it, you don't like me. I don't care. I don't bother you. I expect the same form you.

    Re: Nice looking bug!!!!

Well, I learned something from seeing this bug and asking a knowledgeable person.....I guessed wrong the first time as well.
I googled Tom's guess, because I don't know enough about bugs to know any Latin...small brown mayfly and large green caddis are the way I do it....ya' know emergers and duns and spinners is the extent of my knowledge...so I am learning slowly from friends and google.....thought it might be fun to see what others know as well....I guess you're all (well not all..... Grobert) as dumb as me...

Come on Tom, keep looking, you'll find it...It is less exotic than you think....very common name, and more abundant than I could have ever thought, it's the first time I have seen one in 8-9 years of looking at these things....
