    Check off March

Chucked dries on a NJ WTS today and brought about a dozen fish to hand with just about as many misses. Most were small brook trout in the 6" range but did manage one decent brookie.

I also took two decent browns of 10"-12".

I had equal success with a Red Humpy and an Elk Hair Caddis in size 14. The water levels are dropping from what they were a few weeks ago. Speaking of water levels, that heavy rain we had a few weeks back tore the living crap out of this stream. Runs are gone, gravel piled up and banks cut back. Trees that were in the stream are gone and other places piled up in some of the better holes.
However there is a touch of Spring that was showing its face.
