    Victoria Regular

So, my house is done, the contactors and inspectors are gone, and I finally can get back to fly tying...I gave it an extra week before I finally got my ass up off my new couch after a year and two months, two contractors, a jerk-off fire inspector, and many un-told hours of finishing spackling and caulking and plumbing code fuck-ups that care to forget, I took a full week off for vegetating and drinking.......1 exception, I tied that Royal Coachman a few months back...I was having withdraw symptoms.....

So I started again last night....
I got a nice case for some display flies from a friend a while back, and have decided to fill it with classic wet flies, and, if I ever get them good enough, classic salmon flies.....I estimate the case will hold fifty to 150 flies depending on the size and the way they are displayed.....I also estimate it will take me a LONG time to fill the case....So far the case has one fly, the Royal Coachman.....now it has two....It was like riding a bike, starting to tie again, except for the tiny cut on my fingertip that caused the floss on my first attempt to fray so much that I cursed a lot and threw out the hook,.....It must have been the hook.......
anyway, this is the second, that went off without a hitch.......
    here is the case

    and here is the fly,
A classic Bergman pattern....yes I know, they all look the same...it is called

I have to admit, your place is shaping up nicely. Took a drive past earlier today. Nice job for a Mickey Dees salary!

Well congrats on getting done. Construction never goes as planned and it does indeed suck.

LU added on a drive-thru to his house?

Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

    Re: Victoria Regular

The only reason I posted that picture of your house is because I am jealous of it - it's far nicer than our hunting camp trailer in Potter County, PA.

    Re: Victoria Regular

Does it still have the wheels?
    DO NOT remove the wheels.

I have a brother in law in PA, who explained why......

Every time the tax assessor come around, they crawl under the house, and he shows the assessor the wheels.

As long as it's got wheels, it's not a "permanent structure", and doesn't affect the property taxes.

    Re: Victoria Regular

I have heard this as well.....I want to build a garage at my hou......trailer.....but I need a variance for set-back lines and height restrictions....rather than go through the rigmarole, someone said build that garage you want and put wheels on the side......then it's just a trailer and no variance is needed....but, I don't want to look like white trash, so I didn't.....( kinda' funny, being that I live in dilapidated old trailer)..

What you look like, has nothing to do with your garage.
