    Don't tell Grobert

Here is one from last Sunday on a limestoner. This was the best (20") of a half dozen fish taken on, a squirminator.I know that the use of this "fly" is regarded as an abomination by Grobert, but it got reasonably high marks with Tim.

This is essentially a trout magnet, with dressing. But can't argue with the results.

Roll up the windows Brian, you're letting the stank out.

I've tied that pattern but have yet to fish it (at this stage of my experience, I'll try tying anything that catches fish)... glad to know it produces - did you dead drift it, swing it, strip it?

On a side note, pictures of fish in nets never do the fish justice which sucks since it's one of the safest ways to catch, photo and release

Sounds like a very solid day of winter fishin!

Yea, kind of a trout magnet/egg pattern hybrid. It does however make a great anchor fly for tight lining, sinks very quick and stays down.

I missed none of it, and my boots fit perfectly. And I'll be going again in another week.

Thats a negatory. I skied Waterfall, Starr Glades (twice), Goat, and the Bruce trail, all before noon. And I froze my ass off going up the lifts. Worked from home the rest of the afternoon.

And I'll definitely be tying some of these up when I get home, perfect for my kid to fish with.

Was that a back-handed dig regarding my use of the "fly"?
