That's a good point. Their warranty is money. My dad hasn't bought a new watch in 40 years - just sends back the one he bought from them and they fix it or replace it.

My buddy just got rid of his high end orvis waders for a pair of Simms G4Z's. He hated the orvis waders. I can only imagine what Orvis' low end waders are like.

It's easy to just hand out waders when they're made in a sweatshop by little kids.

I have a friend who swears by the LL Bean warranty. I think he has sent back a pair of waders twice, and they came back either new or repaired. And quickly.

I sent a rod tip that broke back, and they sent me a new one...

    Great company.

The avatar is pretty funny. I thought it was John Candy. I also thought it might be me tho.

    Re: what I done

So, not that anyone cares, but both my waders and my boots have officially kicked the bucket. Actually, to be precise, both have kicked the bucket twice. I repaired the boots once and then they literally started falling apart in the river a couple of weeks back. And I patched the waders, but every seam is now springing a leak.

Thus ends my experiment with cheap ass Orvis gear. Just ordered a pair of Simms boots to go with my leaky waders, and there are some G3s in my not-so-distant future as well. I'll have to see how long I can tolerate the leaks. When the water warms up, it's less objectionable.

G3's are the shit, although if I were you, I'd just wear shorts, it'll help put the dick smoke out.

Roll up the windows Brian, you're letting the stank out.
