ALL dams? Or just those pesky top water release ones?

Funny how we seem to like most tailwater dams, isn't it?

But we have tens of thousands of completely obsolete dams no longer serving any purpose that pose a major threat to the health of our various fisheries across the nation. Those need to be yanked out. But it's an expensive proposition in many cases with precious little funding available to remove them. In time, the owners will be forced more and more to remove them at their own expense. That will be interesting times given that so many dam removals exceed in cost the value of the properties they are on.
