i JUST sold that truck now 18 yrs later and still wouldn't consider anything other than diesel to replace it.

Well you new diesel will not get the same mileage as the old one due to new emissions standards for diesel. My 03 dodge got anywhere from 19-21 but the 2010 got 16-17mpg

Really doesn't matter much why, it just is. My Super Duty spends more time parked because of the price of diesel and lousy mpg of the new emissions standards.

The new diesel cherokee n ram 1500's diesels coming out have been what I've been dreaming about for years but I just cant talk myself into 50K+ when Im trying to reduce my cost so I can piss more money away on rods.
