Tobias - my avatar is a pic I shot just before we ran the canyon on the upper Kenai. Love it up there and might get back in '14.

I have met a lot of great people who have been very generous with info. Gave me more than I have asked. I all I asked was what section I should float. Next thing I know I had a google map in front of me and holes being pointed out!

I was told many people have been fishing that river for a long time and never caught over a 30" steelhead. I banged 10 fish in one hole. Had trouble keeping fish buttoned. Only landed 6 out of the 15 I hooked. I guess you could say it was a good day. Haha. Majority of the fish came on a super top secret bead.

Right, so how will they know if you are targeting shad? They will probably just watch from the woods with binoculars for a few, until they see what you are doing, kind of like Grobert does every time...
Keep an eye out for American shad...
