    I just moved to the area and would love to jump on the knowledge train if anyone knows where there are some trout near the Pine Island area! Thanks, Jake.

    There are some trout streams in the area although I'm no expert, but if you just hop on route 17 north, you're in the Catskills in a very short time and the fishing will be far better.

    Iím from the Catskills, so yeah Iíd love to be fishing up there. Problem is Iím studying for an exam in July and have very limited time. Wanted a local spot to get a few hours in. Thanks though.

    Pine Island seems to be 4-5 miles from Warwick where you can find the Warwick Valley Farmers Market at South St & Railroad Ave, Warwick, NY 10990. It seems that Hudson Valley Seafood is a vendor, and they sell trout...

    Now when you say you are FROM the Catskills...
    You mean from a town actually IN the Catskills and not some place outside the periphery of the Catskills, like Delhi, for instance...
