Simms
What information are you basing your temp. on? I know the DSR was posting incorrect temperatures last week. I am seeing Oswego River is 74 degrees this AM. and peaked at just under 78 yesterday. I know that in the winter the Oswego River generally runs a couple degrees warmer then the Salmon in winter.
Lynch,
Thanks for the reports hope that you knee holds up and that you have a good time.. good luck.

Hopefully the water is warm enough to start the cooking of the fish as i reel them in and throw them on the grill.

Re: Salmon River Report 2012
I'm with you Chris. I was originally thinking of heading up Monday, but changed my mid after yesterday.
Here are a few more pics from yesterday.
They did an extensive amount of work inthe LFZ at the cemetary pool. Lazy anglers can now access it right from the rocks, getting perfect drifts through the deepest part of the run there. The good thing I noticed is the rock structure at the bottom is pretty sharp and diverse, so the laed lobbers will be losing alot of gear in their attempts to chuck & duck at the fish. There will be some broken ancles in there this year for sure.
I also took a drive up to the UFZ and have bad news for those who like to fish the Paradise pool. There are "no parking" signs that line both sides of the road the entire length. The only way to get to it is to park in the one small lot up there and walk down river/road. Not a big deal, and it might even keep the crowds down, but definately a shocker. It would be nice if DEC and National Grid could come to some form of agreement with the other lot there.
I also took a drive to a few of my favorite tribs and could not believe how dry they are, I mean REALLY dry with hardly a trickle. Here is a picture of one of the tribs.
