How many of you out there use Simms waders?

I've been using Simms waders for a good while now and have been totally satisfied with my purchases. The best part is the top end waders are made in America. I have no problems paying a little more for quality gear made here in America.

I spent 9 months living in my G3 stocking foots and they never let me down. I fished those G3's from the begining of the salmon run all the way through the next summer and had no problems at all. I have since added a couple more sets to the rotation so I don't wear through my waders faster than normal, plus it's nice to have a back up pair should my waders ever get a leak.

I have sent a couple pairs back for routine maintenance, and Simms repaired them FOR FREE! and mailed them back for FREE! I just had to pay to mail them to Bozeman. You can't beat that for customer service! It all took less than three weeks from the time I mailed them to the time they got them and did their inspection of the waders.

I just added a pair of the G4Z's to my arsenal, and now I think I am set for the next 20 years or so with waders. You can never have enough quality gear, especially if you are always out in the nastiest of elements. If you are in the market for a new pair of waders, I would highly encourage you to purchase a pair of the higher end Simms waders, heck any of their waders are good to go, but the G3's and G4's will last you a VERY VERY long time.

Simms makes great waders, i have the freestone stocking foots and ive taken ALOT of nasty spills.

i dont own their waders, however i do own a 16 year old Windstopper Guide Fleece jacket thats as good as the day i bought it,and i wear it from September to March sometimes chilly april mornings and evenings too.I also own several other items that are Simms..Four denium chambray Guide shirts,a new Glenbrook shirt that really is a great new addition, a backsaver wading belt, and last but not least i just got a pair of Rivershed #14 boots an studded them with the hardbite starcleats.
My waders are Redington Sonic Pro Zip front,and i liked em so much i just bought another backup pair a month and a half ago.My older pair of Redingtons are still good but they were bought in 97 and got a few pinhole leaks about three years ago, they were worn alot the first seven years ago i wore them then work an life got in the way.
I am a big Simms fan , just couldnt justify 700 beans for any waders is all.

Sonic zips are great waders and reasonably priced. I owned a pair of the first or 2nd gen simms gore tex waders back in the 90s. They were great as well and still have them. Also have a pair of the freestones.
I think some of their high end gear is too expensive but hey if they can get that price good for them.

They are a great company. They are really intouch with their clients and listen to them. When they stopped making felt they went back because people were not happy. When they were told to make a flats book...they made one. Being the leader in waders you would think they are a big company with a corporate feel, but its so false. I was working for them for just over a year, and it has a very small company feel. Everyone knows everybody, and every problem called in is taken care of individually. When you call they do not send you to a touchtone menu, and they outsource almost zero percent of their work.

Ps. you must be warm in those g4z waders CT that is some thick material.

I'm in my waders as much as anyone and I love my Simms. Now on my 2nd pair of G3s. I've owned lesser brands, but never again. Their other gear is built just as well, I have some other Simms products and all are equally great.

I own a pair of G4's, G3 guide pants and 2 pair of the exstream bootfoot. Prior to Simms, I burned through Orvis waders quicker than occupier can smoke a well packed bowl. I also have their G4 guide jacket. I have never had a problem of anything of theirs.

I've owned a pair of the Redington Sonic zip front since early 2011 and have been very pleased with them as well.

I wish Simms would come out with a new version of the Exstreams, I fear the day when my winter waders start to fail.

From what I understand there is a new bootfoot in the works. There were exstreams on clearance a while back on sierra trading post. Not sure if they still have any left.

I have a pair of the G3 Muckboots and they are the best cold weather waders I've ever owned. VERY VERY warm!
