and I'm on my 4th year, no leaks. I think a lot of guys get into buying the label, etc.

If that were the case, everyone would have been using Orvis and sticking with them. I tossed out 2 pairs of Orvis before I woke up and bought Simms. Patagonia makes great waders as well, but they are even more expensive than Simms. I think Simms is tops in value. Cabelas has decent waders made for them by others, but they don't have the construction or layers of Simms. They are another good value product and everyone seems to like their service as they do with Simms.

I did return one pair of Orvis only to have the same issues, weeping through the material. It turns out that they had switched from Gore Tex to a cheaper alternative and shipped their manufacturing off to China. I turned down the 3rd pair and bought my 1st pair of Simms which lasted so long they were cheaper than other waders I had owned in the past. And nowadays I pay for nothing, that's what our NJTU state council is for

For waders made in America not in china, that have a lifetime warranty and will last you more than four years of hard use. I lived in my waders for nine months straight and that was back in 2008-2009, I still have that same pair and still use them. I don't think a pair of cabelas would even come close to lasting that long if they were used hard every day.

I have owned Grey's, Dan Bailey's, Orvis and yes, even a pair of Hodgman's. I am now in the Orvis silver label waders. I love them..they easily convert to waist waders, which I use because of smaller stream fishing....they are very comfortable, as I am not too tall, but have large feet...I am sure Simm's has an awesome product, and I fish at least twice a week, but I cannot justify to myself to spend that kind of money on waders, especially since I am not using waders now, and just getting wet....I have had the Orvis waders for about a year, probably fished in them 70- 80 times, and they are still perfect.

Nothing against Simm's products, but I would rather save my money for the Fracking Apocalypse.

The Grey's..I went thru two pair before I got one that didn't leak, then they lasted a year...the Dan Bailey's, I left to dry in the yard and my fucking cat sharpened his claws on them.....
