Seeing how I have been tying buggers for the ccs, I figured i would make a video. So here is how I tie my quick bugger. Enjoy

ju..couple neat little tricks in that fly..ive seen bugger patterns and started tying them while i was still shittin in diapers..my only issue is without counter ribbing the hackle with wire or mono i can see after a big fish or 2 the hackle breaking off..ive had it happen many times..but not when its ribbed..like how u tied the lead down without using 3 miles of thread like most people do.

Thanks pitbull, The beauty of the bou body and brushing it out like that is the hackle stem actually is protected by the bou. I have caught many fish with one bugger tied this way and have had no hackle breakage, but i can understand your concern. Oh and your never to old to tie the bugger!

Nice video. Could you explain further why the rotary vise method of wrapping the hackle is essential?

Its not essential, but for the technique I showed, it sure is helpful.

That is a sweet tie! Thanks for the demo.

Is that an Oral B toothbrush you are using? Do you replace it when the blue bristles wear out?

I beg to differ on the size of the head on a fly. It can cause the fly to swim funn,y if it's too large, if you're swinging the fly.

Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.
