Re: Salmon River, Pulaski, New York Swinging Cheat Sheet
Thanks again, Lynch.
I fished Pineville on Thursday and Elis Cove Friday morning with no luck unfortunately. The fishing was streaky. Saw some entertaining catches... one guy who walked into a pool that the masses were fishing, he spotted a fish from a 15 foot bank, made the cast (behind where everyone was fishing) and... FISH ON! Also saw some terrible fishing, like an 8lb brown trout that was brought in by its tail. Honestly there was more snagging than I expected.
Overall though it was a great time - first time fly fishing for salmon. I think I would take your advice on staying away until late Oct and fishing more for Steelies. I'll be back in Nov over the Thanksgiving break.
Thanks for the input

Re: Salmon River, Pulaski, New York Swinging Cheat Sheet
Hey guys, I was making a trip out to SR tomorrow and was wondering if anyone can let me know where I can swing for steelhead this time of year. I ask because I dont get much time to fish these days and this will probably be the only time this season so wanted to make it memorable. I know theres many places but wanted to get your opinion. I was thinking the wire hole.
