    Royal Coachman Stretch Version

Picked up some cool old hooks last weekend and had some time last night to tye on them. The hook is a Partridge limerick bend 6xl long loop-eye size 4 and lends itself well to the classics of days gone by.So the first fly I decided to tye with these is the Royal Coachman. The body on this one is wrapped with Gudebrod 00 scarlet normally used to wrap rods with the ribbing is lagartun small oval gold and the wing is swan.

    BHC,
    Outstanding.

    Re: Royal Coachman Stretch Version

I saw this fly and thought it was absolutely awesome!

So I tried to tie it.

Everything I do is my own interpretation.

    Thanks for the inspiration, BHC.

    Re: Royal Coachman Stretch Version

Thank you everyone for your kind words ! Brk Trt you have been a driving force in my tying by posting all of your beautiful streamer patterns for us to see, as well as Andy B. and his sweet wet flies. Its exciting to see that posting a fly that you have tied can stir people to go to the vise and tye a creation of their own. And through the process improve their skills with each tye. It's great stuff and why I like this hobby.

Nice tye GB that fly will hunt for sure!! You are getting good at this keep tying and posting !

TF that is a nice tye as well ! I remember the first fly you posted here you have come a long way man ! Keep it up!!
