Beetle,can you post a larger picture of your Bomber trout fly with a recipe and suggested hook style and size? thank you

I will tie another soon and post a picture.
But here's how it is done.
1. Tie on an elk hair tail.
2. Tie on single wing of elk hair, Comparadun style.
3. Tie on a red feather and a grizzly hackle feather near the tail.
4. Apply cream colored dubbing.
5. Hackle it up.
No preference, really, for hook size here.
Also, you can substitute buck tail for the tail and wing.
Buck tail is super cheap and I love it.

do you use saddle or capes for this fly's hackles?

beetle uses cape hackle
but either one would work perfectly rick if you look at the ausable bomber it will give you a clearer view of what beetle was trying to accomplish only differnt is the elk hair comparadun wing
