Wilton ME, Lake Wilson August advice needed

Hi Friends, I'm going to be visiting Wilton Maine in early August and was told there was some bass to be taken on Wilson Lake. Can anyone tell me, is this lake accessible to a wading angler? I'll be staying at the Inn on the lake, but their waterfront is pretty busy with guest activities. I wanted to know how difficult (or intrusive on land owners) wading would be. Are there other access areas available on the lake worth visiting other than the southern boat launch?
