FUDR One Bug This Weekend - Who is going?

So who's going to be at the FUDR One Bug Tourney this weekend in Hancock?

I'm traveling down tomorrow with drift boat in tow. I'm cooking the Kickoff Dinner on Friday as a gift to the organization. Planning to hit a smaller creek for a spinner fall tomorrow night. Realizing the flows right now, that is EXTREMELY optimistic. Floating one of the branches on Saturday or Sunday. Hopefully, its not a total blowout.

I'll be there. With the Main at over 17,200 and more rain on the way, I'm not sure what type of float you'll be doing but would love to hear about it!

Probably the half day float from Stilesville to Trenton....

On a serious note, great job to all those that volunteer their time to this great cause. And please do post and let us know how it all goes. I'll be up on the WB next week (Wed - Sat) and would love to hear how the fishing is if anyone can get out in these flows.

Well with all the high water in the System, I was thinking about attending the dinner in Hancock on Friday night, and then from there heading up to the Salmon R to put a few last clicks on the DSR season pass & swing flies for drop backs and / or a bonus Atlantic, but now it looks like the flows have gone up to 2500 again on the Salmon so, ???

    Iflifish,

I have caught an atlantic everytime up so far since April 1st...There are a TONNNN in the river....This rain is having more bark than bite...totally missed them today and wont be much for tomorrow and thurs...Brookfield is just being cautious...I bet by thursday night well see 1250 or 1800 again....DRS folks are too cautious as well as they close when its 1800+...2500 is very manageable as a bank angler...I understand though, they dont want to risk it...

Looking forward to meeting you. We'll have to see what happens. Like I said, I'm an optimist. Wasn't planning on the Main - hope we can get out on either the WB or EB.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I really believe in the organization.

1/2 day float from Stilesville to Trenton? - can it really be that bad? Stilesville gauge is reading 3510 cfs....

Re: FUDR One Bug This Weekend - Who is going?

Well it sure was great meeting a few of you at the dinner on Friday night. Here's the report: water was high and moving fast, fishing was very tough, the float from Downsville to Oxbow was fun both Sat and Sun, and the trip back home was long. Was really happy with my drift boat and first two days on the oars. Looking forward to the next trip down in a couple weeks. Headed to State College on Thursday am for 4 days. Hoping the water will be down by then.
