    My friend

If you have a Dickerson, an Edwards please have it doen. The repair is cheap.
Otherwise glue the heck out of it.
Reel seats are not difficult, and even redoing one is not rcoket science, to include doing the cork.
Micke Sinclair has a book out Fly Rod restoration which is fabolous. He has written about Divine, Heddon and has the Granger book/library as well.
I use this all the time
Again, glue it if a work horse rod, your blue collar rod, or get it fixed!

    Good Luck
    Jimmy

    Thank you

Stop shoving rods up your ass and the reel seats won't crack.

Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.
