New book - FF's Guide to the Big Apple

I've been waiting for this book to be published for a long time now as the author, Tom Gilmore, had asked me for some minor help with Delaware tribs such as the Musky when he was writing it. Tom's latest book is entitled: Flyfisher's Guide to the Big Apple, Great Waters within 150 Miles of New York City. In it you will find all sorts of info on trout waters in PA, NY and NJ all within an easy drive of the tri-state area complete with public access sites, hatch info, restaurants and lodging, techniques, etc. It is very well written and should be invaluable to new and old fly anglers alike. I already know from reading it that I will have to buy my PA license this year which I often do not.

I see that Tom will be presenting on some of this book material at this coming weekend's Somerset Fly Fishing Show and he tells me that his book is now in stores and will be available for purchase at the Show as well. Check it out, I think you'll be impressed. Many streams/rivers you will already know and many you will not, but all are locally well known, so I don't expect the typical spot-burning nonsense whenever a new book like this comes out. This is a must read, IMO. Previously, my favorite book of Tom's is fly fishing for False Albacore, the seminal book on that topic and I think the first of its kind.
