    Re: My new boo...

That looks it would be fun to fish. I have been reading about the Granger Rods and their history. Found a couple of really good web sites and spoke to a couple of folks about the history in some detail. I hear you about sticking to the original design of the rod all the way down to the reel seat. Its kind of like if it aint broke dont try to fix it. I have a site that shows some mint condition Granger Rods and even shows a register of all the serial numbered rods to date. Kind of surprised Wright & Mcgill arent trying to capitalize on the legend for themselves.

Well with any luck I will be taking delivery of a vintage Granger Victory tomorrow which I was fortunate enough to obtain thru an estate sale last week. Cant wait until it arrives!!!

Good luck with the new boo rod..Go catch some fish.

I guess you got yourself a Granger Victory 8642.. Does it have variegated brown/gold and black wraps???
Also it should have the Grangers standard screw locking nickel silver reel seat made by Wright & McGill USA...
I just love this reel seat...Wish you could still purchase them from Wright & McGill today..
