    Shuttle Service Salmon River

I was wondering if anyone knows of a shuttle service for the Salmon River. Thanks!

Can you be a little more specific?

    Re: Shuttle Service Salmon River

I usually run my pontoon between Pineville and Altmar and my wife and I always have to take two cars to run the shuttle. I was wondering if anyone knows somebody that does shuttling for vehicles in that area.
    Thanks,
    Tom

That is a good question I wouldn't mind finding the answer to as well, and that is what I thought you may be asking. I have a drift boat that ends up staying home most of the time for the same reason when I do solo day trips.

    Re: Shuttle Service Salmon River

I float a couple of rivers where there are no shuttle services available. I drop the boat off at the put in, drive to the take out and call a taxi. The taxi then takes me up to the boat. A taxi usually costs me $10, but a shuttle usually cost me almost $40. Are there any taxi's in the area?

Spread the courtesy to others who may wish to tag along for a ride. You'll definitely meet new friends by sharing common knowledge & passion for a great river such as the SR. If not just ask someone in the parking lot for a quick lift & be sure to have a six pack ready for them at drop off.
    (P.S. I'm available Sundays & Mondays)

Sounds like a fun float. I'd be interested in trying that sometime with my pontoon boat. Any day will do, as long as we set this up ahead of time.

    Re: Shuttle Service Salmon River

It seems like the only option is to do the shuttle yourself, or hitch a ride with somebody at one of the ramps. The first time we dragged the boat up to the SR, we stopped at Whitaker's assuming someone there would want to make a quick couple of bucks doing a shuttle, or know of someone who would. No dice. We also tried a local cab service, but they were busy assisting clients with dialysis appointments and were unable to accommodate us.

The folks over at steelhead lodge will shuttle you for a fee. I usually hook them up with 20$ for a shuttle from pineville to altmar. Give them a call. Good luck
