Promano- I have caught one trout so far on a fly. That was on the Rockaway. Little Brook trout. I caught a bunch of sunnies and bluegills on the wanaque at hershfield. They went at the flies so much. I havent caught a rainbow or brown on a fly yet. Cant wait.

Re: 2010 Favorite Fly Swap(s)
The first fly is my "secret weapon" emerger.
Trailing schuck, beaver dubbed body, CDC underwing and deer hair wing.
Sizes 12-16 work best on a curved emerger hook.
Can be fished swinging as a wet, but works best with a bit of floatant on the deer hair and fished dry during hendrickson or iso hatch. Even works during sulphurs.
flies all look great!

justyn, are you sure that was a brookie in the Rockaway? Not trying to be funny but, I don't think brookies are stocked in the Rockaway, but I do know they put in a ton of Browns...... Hope those blisters heal in time for the season..... or you may need a special glovie so u can hold the rod.... LOL

Re: 2010 Favorite Fly Swap(s)
Hi All,
Flies look great!!!
Thanks for the coordination!!! Takes time and money to send everything out.
West Branch is running at 400 today and would be perfect to nymph up a couple of big browns.
The 25 mph winds coming down the river has put those plans on hold. The next nice day though.......
