    Question How to tie?

Does anyone know how to tie either of these patterns?

    Dennis,

The top fly is a parasule(can't spell for sh*t). Not sure where I've seen the technique but I don't recall it being too difficult. As far as the body, I don't know. The 'parasule' enables any subsurface fly to travel right in the surface film.

    DC,

I seem to have seen this before. The "tower" was made from a piece of old flyline.

    Dennis,

I may have a Idea,I tie Extended Body BWO'S By placing Needle in my Vise, coat the Needle with Dubbing Wax,place Z-Lon on the Needle and Start Threading the Needle for a underbody,While I'm tying in the Thread I place Micro Fibbets on the Needle and tye in the Fibbets, before I had my last few wraps to secure the Fibbets I put Dubbing on the Thread so when I secure the Fibbets I can start a nice tapered Body, before I tye in the Dubbing I add Zap-A-Gap to the Underbody and let it dry then I tye in the Dubbing. At the end,I have a Tag end of the Butts of the Fibbets and Z-Lon,The wax does not allow the glue to stick to the surface of the Needle so it can be pulled off with no problem!

I'm almost sure that's how they tie the Top Pattern for your Fly.I "Think" that the Underbody Material is Mono Line,I saw a Scud pattern that had two Scuds mating and it's very simliar to your Fly.Mono is Kinda Stiff so it can be used but,it will be hard.Examine your Fly and Determine if it may be Mono,if so.Look at Mono by Pound and see what pound can be used and try it.Another thing you can do is try the Method for the Extended Body,I got it from Stalcups Book. They do made Beautiful Bodies!Try it.
