Try em with a bead head ! I love flies like this, do some with natural rabbit fur, and short, fine deer hair for tails, with a wire rib. Fish an emerger behind it, and look out!

    Nice tie...

    Soft hackle are killer patterns.

The Partridge and orange here is my go-to searching fly
    pattern.

    It has never failed me.

I took just one look at it, got up, went to the kitchen and got a snack.

I've got to agree with AK. The partridge and orange is a killer, always catch fish on it or a partridge and olive.

Killers for me during caddis hatches. Great flies as is the soft hackle hares ear. Can't go wrong with soft hackles.

    Very nice flies.

Wait till you fish them and the trout start whacking them....
