    Brookies, plus

I fished a small class 1 stream for a today. I started fishing where I normally do fishing dries. The stream was dead, I went through the sequence of flies with no takers. The stream has a few tribs that are small but they have there dark holes too so off I went to fish one. I tied on a EH caddis and let it drift and soon I was into my first fish, a brookie of 3 inches, he was on but soon left. This played out many many times on this tiny stream, lots of brookie fry not even hooked, I believe they were holding on the the caddis hairs.

    The tiny stream.

In another part of the stream, while fishing a streamer I felt a jolt and when the fish felt the steel he soon became airborne. after a brief battle a beautiful hefty rainbow came to hand.

    Beavers, and branches,

And to top it off, theres tuna too.

With fresh salsa and beverage of choice
