Matt the good thing about the wing being so full is one can always trim it down. I kept the wings a little fuller and the shucks a little longer figuring they could be tweaked as needed on the stream.

Two of the flys I had to ite while holding my vises jaws. The Renzetti has broken yet again for the second time this year. couldn't be better timing. Guess all my hendricksons will have to be tied on tubes

    Hey artoflee:

What kind of Renzetti do you own and what broke on it. I never herd or seen to many issues with them breaking or breaking twice in the same year. Ouch!

Andy I have the travler vise and the first breaking issue I feel was related to using the a HMH tube conversion kit. I dont feel the jaws can support extended use of the converter kit. The screw use to tighten the jaws above the rubber washer broke in half.

This time as I was rotating my vise it ceased up and completely . It locked up so tight that I cant even disassemble the part of the vise that jammed by hand. I have a feeling a little bit of tinsel might have gotten caught in the gear.

That's a great idea. It's like the LaFontaine Sparkle Pupa/Emerger patterns. I always tie them as emergers because I can always cut the wing off on stream if I want ot fish it deep.

That thing still looks like Dr. J's hair in the 70's.

Get an HMH vise. I've had mine 26 years and tie almost eveyday and I've only had to replace the trout/standard jaws once. Solid as a rock. Although, I hear the same about the Renzettis.

All recipe's have been edited with the exception of Andy B's. Just waiting for him to forward that information on.

Thanks again to everyone for sending me your creations. They're all great looking ties and I can't wait to use and abuse them!
