Digital Photography w/GPS on Nikon D300
Anyone know what Exif information is? Exif is all of the information about your photo's. It shows the shutter speed, aperature, white balancing, lense used, whether the flash fired off or not, etc... Now there is a hack for digital cameras where you can hook your GPS device up to your camera and the Exif data will include your latitude and longitude! Then, you can upload your photo's to a service such as Flickr, and the site will pinpoint your photo in google maps
This is NO JOKE. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...photo/gps.mspx
Ok, why would we need something like this anyway? It's great for organizing data in your computer. Wanna share a fishing spot with a friend, show him/her a link to your photo on the web and it will create a map instantly.
Anyhow, I'm a techy type guy and I like gagets so it's going to be fun to play with. The possibilities are endless!
