    Ramapo River

7 rainbows, 2 browns, 3 smallmouth, and a yellow perch fell for a wooly bugger Thurs. evening. About to give up since nymphs were not working and my wooly had no takers, I reeled in fast. Wham! A brown. Stripping as fast as possible was the key.

That also worked this morning: 6 browns, 5 rainbows, 1 small brook, and 3 smallmouths. I was not embassed at all by pulling out 3 of those trout between meat fisherman that moved into my area.
If you make your own wooleys be sure to use crystal flash.

    Re: Ramapo River

    Nice going !
I have yet to stop and fish the Ramapo. Crossing the Glen Gray bridge is always at a crawl as I check out the river.
