    Thanks! I realized after the taking them that I was in my own way, having the camera in a bad angle halfway in front of the light... I will keep on trying and post in the fly tying picture department!

    They look good. The only thing that stands out to me is low depth of field, which is why the body of your flies is in focus but the hackle is slightly out of focus in some shots. If you can't adjust your aperature manually, theres probably not a whole lot you can do to fix that. My only suggestion would be to add more light and "trick" the camera into using a smaller aperature. They look way better than any fly pictures I ever took with my point and shoot tho!

    take white printer paper set the camera to micro and take the flash off and try it. t works for me.
