Unless there's been a very recent change....
As far as I know, it's still owned or controlled by Sun Valley Farm (800 Ramapo Valley Rd, Mahwah). It's "preserved farmland", but ownership is private.

To the west (uphill) and north (upstream) is Bergen County parkland, if you continue west you'll eventually find State and Boy Scout owned land. South (downstream) is the Deerhaven development and other private homes.,,, There are also some private homes in the area between the their (northern) cultivated fields and Route 202.

As of the last time my evil stepson tried to fish there, they were still "discouraging" trespassers.

OT Trivia ... Deepdale Farm (just upstream from the County parkland where we had our EJTU "Rock Rolling" project), is also "preserved farmland".

Hello, You are talking about the Wearing(wrong spelling of the name). Back in the early 60's I drove for the Ramsey Taxi at night after work. A few times I had to go to Newark Airport to pick up the owner of said property. We got to talking a few times and he gave me permission to fish his property. He was really a very nice person. The Mahwah Museum tells us that Fred and Margaret Wehran. changed the name of the property from "Hazelwood" to “Sun Valley Farm.”

Carol Green is listed by the Mahwah Chamber of Commerce as the current "contact".
