Dennis thats pretty cool.....a little corny yeah....but cool none the less....You should consider putting together a calender and using the proceeds of the sale to offset costs of hosting the site....I'm sure no one here would mind if you used any of their pics....

If you guys want Calendars for the 2004 year, let me know which photo's you would like and I'll make them. I can't see making money from them (only to cover costs) because I'd have to make the price too steep. A 12 month calendar would roughly cost 15 bux or more. I've gotta figure approximately $1.00 per page for printing alone. Then other costs... Maybe I can have a print shop do them for much cheaper? I'm not sure, but let's see.

Calendars are nice. I have actually did them for the past few years and even put on a few 1 hours shows at local collages about the issue.

But unless your welling to put in alot of time and have a fairly new ink saving printer, I would hire it out. The biggest thing I found is finding a decent paper that will allow good printing on both sides. And when your looking at double sided photo or cardstock, it can get expensive.

I have made numerous sized and find that a common 8.5X11 or 8X10 look very nice with a wire sprial in the middle. The hardest part is getting the first one done and checked. After that things start to work like clock work.

When working with a calender, image quality and orianttion is a big thing. Many find it nice to put the usually large landscape shot on the top half and then a small vertical on the bottom half with the actual dates. Nothing big on the bottom, just a 2x3 or something close.

There are alot of makers out there that do this, but they ususally charge $25 - 15 depending on how many you get done. Working with kinko, you can drop that price down alot depending on paper quality you choose. Actually professional printing companys will do them the best, as far as looks and paper quality, but they usually want a 100-1000 prints before they even think about it.

So I would say first you all would have to find out what your welling to put into one as far a $$$ and then start to figure out the printing issue. If someone does this at home, expect for that person to spend **numerous hours** behind the screen and printer.

I am playing hooky next week from work. I am itching to pull the trigger. Calendar sounds great. Do the trout in the West Branch feed during Thanksgiving week?

If you didnt leave already,of course the trout eat during the week of thanksgiving.

Use streamersTry casting you streamer up stream and dead drifting it down stream like your nymphing.

Aslo keep your streamer sideways in the current and strip slow but steady, as well as working the swing into the seems.

Dark buggers and Black nose daces.

    Good luck
