You should be livin' off the land, GB. A nice simple life with no fossil fuel use is within your grasp; why are you not doing it? I could help you with finding a job up here... You know, to squeeze into the time you're not out planting, tending and harvesting crops and cutting firewood...
    Crops? Firewood?

Firewood - The products of combustion are Carbon Dioxide and Water Vapor, both are known greenhouse gasses. Unlike gas or refined oil, wood fires also produce particulate pollutants in the form of visible smoke.

Crops - Eating (anything digestible) has the side effect of producing "farts" consisting primarily of Methane, an even more potent greenhouse gas.

I voted for Obama. Twice. I am not happy with everything he did. Not sure that makes me a hypocrite.

Here's a question for you, Mac. Who's a better President, Obama or Trump?

Just curious what your answer will be, that's all.

By the way, fishing sucks right now in the Catskills. Otherwise I would write a fishing report rather than extending the life of this insipid thread.

They both suck. I didn't vote for either of them. This thread gets extended because beetle can't get that through his thick head.

Haven't fished in a few weeks. It was surprisingly good this year as I expected a decline given how low the water has been the past couple of years. Plenty of bugs as well. Was hoping to hit it again assuming the weather cooperates

Ok, then which one sucks less?

I'd write a fishing post but have been busy lately setting up various sporting clays shoots.

Re: How you Republicans feeling today?

Although I'm not really a Trump supporter, we seem to have a credibility problem.

Both CNN and the New York Times, appear to be among the media outlets that are "at war" with the Trump administration (and vice-versa).

Using either of them (or their clones) as a source for any topic with political overtones, won't convince anyone who doesn't already agree with them.... It's the equivalent of trying to convince a liberal by quoting Limbaugh.

Ever since I wrote this, I've been thinking a lot about it.

I shouldn't have offered to help you find a job.
You're not gonna have any time for it.
From where you'd be living, riding a bike would make it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get to a job. You'd be spending HOURS on the road. And you'll NEED those hours to cut wood with a hand saw for heat.

No it's not. They're just allowing the mining company to go through the process of applying. The EPA still has the
Final decision . I could never imagine them approving it. The firestorm on the EPA and the mining company would be unprecedented ,in my opinion. Beetles posts are like watching Al Jazeera

Hopefully Donald Trumps son,Donald Jr has his ear on this one being the Avid sportsman he is.
