I was tying up some size 4 and 6 egg patterns last week for my salmon fishing trip when I ran into a problem with my vice. After completing a pattern, I would go lift the vice locking lever to release the hook from the jaws, but it wouldn't release. The jaws stayed shut even though the lever was up completely. Only after repeatedly flicking the lever up and down did it eventually free up enough space for me to pull the hook out. I had to make all my patterns like this since it happened after the 3rd or 4th of 24 that I made. The vice is an HMH Silhouette. Any suggestions on what I did and how I can rectify the problem? I only got it in August of this year (brand new).
