I was rummaging through NEFF's Fly Tying Data Base late the other night when I came upon a caddis fly that looked interesting.

It was the Egg-laying Grannom caddis by Mr. Grobert..

(it was a condition of him autographing his book Fly Fishing New Jersey Trout Streams for me, that I always referrer to him as Mr. Grobert)

... that caught my eye.

It was all there, excellent photo, excellent pattern materials, excellent description..

(case you are wondering.. stating everything he does as excellent was also part of the bargin)

... and an excellent supersize photo of his excellent fly.

.. but since I didn't find this pattern in his section on Caddisflies starting on page 48.. I am not obligated to mention his book Fly Fishing New Jersey Trout Streams by Mr. Grobert.

But I did swipe his photo



SOooo.. last night I felt froggy and decided to tie me up a bunch you might say.

I was just about to post a photo or two of the one's I tied you for you all to feast your eyes upon.

But as I was looking at mine, then looking at Mr. Grobert's...

I decided to do the Marla Hooch photo op...



You should be able to make out the Egg-laying Grannom flies I tied there in the centre of my tying desk.
