Hello all, I'm brand new here and mostly have been striper fishing off breezy point, brooklyn. However I grew up fly fishing in Oregon, and NEED, my fly fishing freshwater fix. Does any one know any REAL trout stream or river spot in Long Island where I can wade using chest waders and enjoy some fly fishing with out a 4 hour time limit on a small stretch of water... I haven't gone yet but I've been reading to fish the connetqout river "NO chest waders allowed" All catch and release (which would be ok) but would prefer a creel limit. I have also read You must sign up for a stretch of water and choose to fish from 7am to noon or noon to 6pm or something like that. Does anyone know a spot to fish where I can show up, and Wade the river for as many hours as I want... I may be wrong about what I've read or it may refer to autumn fishing on that river. Man, It used to be much easier 'just grab a rod and go fish, A license a rod and river. I do exaggerate some times like some fisherman do. But please, any idea's ???? Thank Very Much!, Patrick.
