A week or so ago, we had a thread going which was discussing the benefits of fly patterns which can give you a chance to trigger a strike in more than one way. A pink scud was the example.
Here is a really simple tie that has been producing very well lately for myself and others (even in our deep freeze) and is a great example of a two trigger fly. This patten is essentially a Early Black Stonefly imitation (thats the first trigger) with egg coloration and profile tied in as it's thorax. (second trigger, egg)
If you are sitting at home waiting out the cold, this is an excellent pattern to tie and try as soon as some of our streams begin to unlock. Early black stones will be in full swing and trout will still be loving eggs.

While the water temps are still way down, the egg trigger can sometimes move a trout when not much else will.
Sorry for the fuzzy pic, my macro function leaves a lot to be desired! Upgrading soon.
Egg Thorax EBS
Recipe
Hook: Mustad 3906 sizes 12-16
Thread: Black 6/0 Uni
Tail: Black Dyed Pheasant Tail
Body: Black Dyed Pheasant Tail
Rib: Amber Ultra Wire
Wingcase: Black Dyed PHeasant Tail
Thorax: Fl.Orange STS Trilobal Dubing, dubbed into egg shape. (This will give this fly a larger thorax than a normal PT)
I case you haven't noticed, this is a standard PT pattern, just tied with black pheasant tail fibers and the normal peacock herl thorax is replaced with trilobal dubbing. Simple modification, but very effective.
Give it a try!
