I've been experimenting with an iso nymph pattern that kinda just popped into my head a while ago. For the white backstripe, I'd like to use a natural material. I saw patterns that use a stripped white hackle stem....I haven't tried that yet though.
I ended up using small flat silver tinsel, but thought it was still a little bit wide for the size I was tying, and just didn't look "real".
Anyone have any ideas of what I could use other than the hackle stem?
