Hair getting stuck in hair stacker

I have a Griffin Adjustable Hair Stacker and every time I use it after I tap it on the table I pull the barrel out the hair does not come out. I don't know if it is the hair (Elk)I am using or the stacker. Any ideas?
This problem is keeping me from tying more hair body flies.
