LBI in August

I am spending a week of my vacation in LBI in August. I have been getting into surf fishing a bit and I love it. Can I expect to catch anything in August in LBI and if so, what species? Will Blues or stripers still be present. From what I understand August isn't a great time from the surf. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
