Not Ranked : 0 Re: Sandy Hook Mark, The mushmouth is a great fly, but when tied in its original style it's more of a peanut bunker imitation. Jamie Boyle came up with a variation of the mushouth that I think Skok calls the whitebait mushy (or something like that). Good fly. So is a surf candy. Fish eat them as sand eels and other bait. But anyway, to answer your pattern question here's an easy to tie and durable one that was chomped on a lot this year.: Barbell eyes tied in Clouser style 1 grizzly hackle tied in on each side A tiny bit of flash Belly of white yak hair Olive & pink yak hair back You can add in a single flashabou side stripe on each side Definately epoxy some eyes on the barbell In esssense, a Clouser tied with yak hair.
