The last 2 weekends I've been seeing strippers in close to the wash,but are not responsive to any flies that I've shown them. I've tried clousers, crab patterns deceivers,1/2 and1/2's poppers,sand eel's bunker patterns, you name it,I've even tried live sand flee's and green crabs on a spinning rod. the fish seem to be cruising up and down the coast line ,stopping,nose to the sand and swimming of again. these are really nice sized fish and would love to have one take my fly. anyone else encounter this on the beach?
