| First Fish on New Rod!! I broke in my new 3wt today. My first fish was a 15" rainbow. Nice color, stubby right pect. fin (an outside-swimmer no doubt) and a fight like a log. I think he'd been around a while, maybe a holdover. Fish #2 was a 12" brookie, a very spirited fish that actually took line, and fought like he was much bigger. I had several browns on, one was almost in the net & got off. Ah, well. All fish were released to be fooled again. Yep. LOVE my new rod... I wonder what kind of rod I'm going to build next?  |
