Tuesday evening was standing on the bank overlooking a pool on the WBD along with several other fishermen waiting for some sign of activity - nothing. Then I noticed a dorsal fin break the surface and several other almost undetectable rises. After several casts with no takes I remembered JoeT's advice and tied on a #18 flash back pheasant tail nymph as a dropper and first cast a nice !8" brownie. Thanks for the advice, it's that knowledge that can make the difference between a good day or lot's of frustration. Wish you had been with me at the Gamelands Tuesday morning - lots of surface activity and not one fish caught among 5-6 fishermen including the guy using worms. |
