| Pocono Hatches Fished the Brodhead today. Heavy Tan Caddis hatch, size varied #16-#14. March Browns, at least a #12, some maybe even #10. Sporadic hatch. Grey Fox, #14 strong hatch, many fish taking grey fox dries. Yellow crane flies, #18, very few seen. BWO #18-20, only a few coming off. Sulphurs, #16, hatch started at dusk, very brief. Sulphurs are just getting started. I caught a couple of nice browns in the evening on Pale Morning Dun. Caddis dries were ignored, even though they were coming off & ovipositing strong all day. I did get a couple in the early afternoon on a #16 Adams parachute, but the Grey Fox dry was the winning ticket for sure. |
