Urgent request for information Hi, all ...
The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Game is proposing to stock a section of the Housatonic River that now has only wild trout. There's a public hearing on it tonight.
A number of us are opposed to the idea, but we're a little short on hard facts to use against the DFW's juggernaut of science, pseudo-science and audio visuals.
I'm told that some of you may have had experience with this sort of introduction of stockers to a wild trout stream. If so what happened? Was it a bad idea? If so, why? Or are we all wet and it's a good idea? I need the info before 6 p.m. if possible. And if you're a fisheries biologist or some other sort of expert, please say so.
Thanks for your help.
