I was at the Flatbrook over the weekend fishing a nice pool all by myself.....I saw fish rise two or three times and was working my way upstream to the spot I saw the rises.....all be it a little slowly. So along comes fisherman Fred and his young son. And they hop right in the water, just upstream of me.....very noisy and very fast. The boy was working on his roll casting , kinda slapping the water. So this brings me to the question.....there were lots of other places with no one fishing them, and I myself am quite the novice. It seems to me if someone is fishing a pool and there is alot of open water , one would move elsewhere , especially if it was more a teaching trip than a fishing trip. I am new and wonder, is this commonplace? Maybe I'm too courteous, maybe I'm not a realist but I'd never walk into a pool someone else was on if there was lots of open water. |
