| Evening Delaware Stonefly Hatches Okay, I know for a fact that in late Spring/Early Summer stoneflies are moving fish during late night, early morning time frame on Delaware River system. (I am talking like 10:00 p.m.. onward -- first hand experience while fishing Mainstem from boat until 1:00 a.m. ish, two years ago). One guide, of whom I trust, strongly suggests that early morning, before the sun rises and anglers pound various stretches, provides a great time period to hit slackwater stretches near banks with adults. Has anyone successfully fished these hatches: Perlidae Acroneuria and Pteronarcys Dorsata? Techniques, strategies, patterns, etc? Sincerely, DTW Last edited by ddawatson : 05-19-2003 at 11:04 AM. |
