Stony Brook

Okay, This is just me venting ... If you get bored, just pass over.

I took off yesterday cause I was sick. I deceide a calm time by the stream will make me feel better.

So I went to Stony Brook to hammer stockies. I grew up with this stream, so I seen many things. BUT this pisses me off, Started picking up a bunch of sh*t all over (ie worm boxes, ice cream wrapers, blah blah blah) ... Okay, I'm feeling a little sick, but what the f*ck. Now after a good 1hr of cleaning crap up. I start to fish ...

Now round two, In each pool theres !@#!@#!@# corn. Not one or two, it was like somebody chum the damn water. !@#!@#!# what the hell was somebody thinking. Its not salt water or a large lake, Its a small stream. If your gonna chum the water, take a bunch of night crawlers and dump them in !!!! not !@#!@# corn... Second thought, DON'T chum the damn water !!!!

So, now i'm picking corn out of the water. That was really fun. After about an hour of this I give up. I mean every !@#!@# pool, and that's about 7-8 pools of 20-30 pieces.

Okay, Now i'm really pissed and feeling really sick. I sit on a log and relax a little bit. As it was the fishy gods smiling on me, I see a smally right in front on me. It must of been 15-20in !!! ... And of course a big fat belly, I figured it was either eating like a mofo from coming out of winter or ready to lay eggs. I talk to her for about 20 mins (yeah, I'm crazy), And We leave each other in piece. Yup, a whole 3hrs and the line never got wet.

aaaahhh, I said my piece and feel better. Sorry for wasting your time. If you fish stony brook and see somebody 'chumming the water', Please inform them that instead of attacting fish ... Just walk and look for them. Not to mention, corn doesn't have any nutritional valve to trout.
