any opinion on "YAD rods"

I am looking for a new 8wt rod. I am not a flyrod guru but I have been pretty satisfied with the St. Croix imperial and pro graphite rods I've owened. I saw this rod in the shop at about half the price of st. croix. The owner said despite the price, he's heard good things about it from folks who bought it. According to him, very few returns/complaints and the word is, use the rod specified and you'll be satisfied. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of it. I am just getting an 8wt for bass and stiper so I wanted a moderate action rod I could really feel load. I wouldn't mind saving a buck, but I don't want to buy a rod that looks good feels good for a bit then then falls apart(i.e. my first 2 Cortland rods!!!!)
